Historic records exist for 'Ingol Lodge' (just to the west of Haslam Park, Ashton, Preston) from as early as the 1780s. It stood for just over 200 years, only to be controversially demolished in 1994. Its ruins are a sad reminder of the imposing building that once stood there.
