Back in the late 1970s I would walk through the grounds of Ingol Lodge on my journey to and from Tulketh High School, so I can vaguely remember the size of the building if not any of the detail. I assumed that a quick search of the internet would bring up loads of photos to rekindle my memories. I was rather surprised to find there was almost no reference to the place; it was as if it had never existed. That was when my inquisitive nature kicked-in and my research began. Through the wonders of the internet I'm delighted to have made contact with a few very generous families who have given me access to their personal family albums. I am eternally grateful for all their help and support.
